I received news today that my book "Female Adventurers: the woman who helped colonize Connecticut" is going to come out sooner than expected. Probably within a month.
Hindsight is so 20/20, isn't it? I already wish I had done some things differently but that how life works, doesn't it. I now think I should have put Massachusetts in the title because most of these women came from England, helped settle a town in Massachusetts and then migrated to Connecticut.
I have found in my life and I've been told also in the lives of others that the first time we leave our comfort zones and do something we have never done before, it is Murphy's law that we are going to make mistakes. These missteps are part of our growth as human beings.
I believe we can excuse ourselves for making mistakes that hindsight so clearly indicates and that we need to remember not to judge others. They may still be growing.
